TNP automatically win vote in Palaung self-administered zone area

According to 2008 constitution Ta’ang (Palaung) self-administered zone called Nanhsan and Montong township in part of northern Shan state, Burma have not need ballot station because candidates of Ta’ang National Party’s U Tun kyaw and U Aik Moon have automatically win vote without contest for there are no opponent in these constituencies said anonymous person of TNP member.

“Yes, it is right in coming November seven people from Nanhsan and Montong will not have to vote because TNP has automatically win vote for these constituencies both chamber of people’s representative and state people’s representative. TNP automatically get successful because there are no others party contest in these constituencies, so that in areas will not have ballot station on November 7”

Candidate for Ta’ang (Palaung) self-administered zone are U Tun Kyaw and U Aik Moon for chamber of people’s representative, and U Own Khine, O Mg Kyaw and U Mai Own Khine, U Tar Sai Khoung are candidate for people’s representative.

As a result of this condition,”local people have talk about election since early 2010, but when there is an election we do not need vote anymore and it has over automatically. That is also good because we don’t have to give our time for that and we can go to work as everyday” said resident.

In Nanhsan and Maontong constituencies candidates have already successful and get future MP in chamber of people’s representative tow MP and four futures MP for state people’s representative, additionally U Mg Mg Swe from USDP as well automatically become MP of chamber of nationalities without contest in Namhsan.
